The container (2) has a first hinged lid (3), which is formed as a container and closed by a second hinged lid (5). Both hinges (6) are positioned on the same side. The closure device (7) is fastened to the first lid. It has an actuating lever (8), moved from a central position against a spring pressure into first and second positions to open the lids. The lever is connected to a spring-loaded bolt for the first lid, and a locking element for the second lid, which are released by movement of the lever. The closure device also has spring-loaded locking levers to prevent opening of one container when the other one is already open.
