PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road guidance presentation device enabling a general user to add or modify road information data or the like without requiring an enhanced CPU or a large capacity of memory. SOLUTION: An absolute destination position storage part 7 stores the latitude and longitude information of a destination which is converted by an absolute destination position converting part 6. A current position vicinity landmark storage part 8 selects and stores the name of the landmark nearest to the latitude and longitude information stored in an absolute current position storage part 4. A destination vicinity landmark storage part 9 selects and stores the name of the landmark nearest to the latitude and longitude information stored in the absolute destination position storage part 7. A landmark-to-landmark transition instructions reproducing part 10 regards the value of the current position vicinity landmark storage part 8 as a starting point landmark, regards the value of the destination vicinity landmark storage part 9 as a destination landmark, and fetches instructions from a landmark-to-landmark transition instructions storage part 2 to reproduce the instructions to a driver. |
