PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for warning a person during conversation of the occurrence of an important event or time, when the important event is to occur. SOLUTION: An audible signal related to an event is provided as one part of the audio path of the telephone set. Especially, as one execution style, a telephone set 105 is provided with a microphone 113 for receiving the audible signal from a user and converting this audible signal to an electric signal for transmission to a distant person in charge and a speaker 115 suited to receive the electric signal related to an entry from the distant person in charge and to convent the electric signal to the audible signal. The telephone set is provided with a processor 111 suited to generate the electric signal related to the external event and to integrate these electric signals with the received electric signal. As a substitutive execution style, the method for warning the person during conversation of the external event is provided with a step for providing the display of the external event form the speaker of the telephone set to the person during a telephone call. The external event is time, for example, and can be displayed by an original chime of time announcement.
