PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow meter which can accelerate the deceleration component in the vicinity of an inner wall surface in a low flow rate zone, and detect the flow rate even in the low flow rate zone. SOLUTION: A flow sensor 2 has a flow rate detection element disposed on an inner wall of a fluid pipe. An accelerating means accelerates the velocity component on the flow rate detection element decelerated by the friction coefficient of the fluid pipe. Since the velocity component on the flow rate detection element decelerated by the pipe friction coefficient is accelerated, the flow rate can be detected at a low flow rate considerably influenced by the pipe friction coefficient.
