[Also in Divisions C7 and H1] A fuel cell battery may be produced by forming a stack of alternate, positive and negative electrodes with spacer frames and spacers in between, pressing the stack together and moulding a synthetic resin case around it. The electrodes may be fitted with flexible vent tubes, Fig. 4, which prevent gas trapped inside them from escaping into the resin and forming bubbles in it. After moulding the tubes may be removed to form gas supply ducts. Electrolyte supply ducts may be formed by positioning in the mould bodies which are withdrawn or dissolved out after moulding. |
