Electric anti-theft device for a motor vehicle

The electrical anti-theft system comprises an anti-theft switch (12) controlling the starter (DEM) and the supply to various different electrical circuits (ACC,ALL). There is also a motorised anti-theft element (34), a key-operated switch (14) and a multiple position switch (16) for controlling the electrical circuits and starter in sequence. The electric motor (34) includes a first supply terminal (A1) permanently connected to a first polarity battery terminal (+BAT), and a second supply terminal (A2) which is only connected to the second polarity battery terminal (-BAT) when the anti-theft circuit is not in its locked state, and the key is in the required position. The system includes an alarm.
