[Also in Division E2] A locking mechanism for windows or doors comprises a connecting bar 8 displaceable along its longitudinal axis and having holes 10 at one end adapted to engage a pin 7 on a member 3 and having at the other end a serrated portion 9 adapted to engage a counter-serrated portion of another member 2. The bar 8 may be cut to the required length from a strip formed with a serrated portion 9 at each end, as shown in Fig. 2. Slots 11, 12 are provided to receive screws which secure a masking strip in position. |
