The drive has an extruded oblong housing (1) along which a member slides. A slide (19) coupled to the member travels along a raised external guide rail (15) on the housing, having guide tracks (18) working against the rail flanks. The rail is integral with the housing, being formed together with it during the extruding operation. The tracks can be formed by bar-shaped guides fixed to the rail sides, and are particularly made from hardened steel. They can be secured to the rail by rolling into grooves in it, and the housing and rail can be of aluminium. A slot can be formed in the housing and through which a member passes, joining the driving member to the slide. |
