PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet which does not spoil the metal gloss feeling, even when being subjected to high heat of a thermal head, due to fine cracks generated on a metal deposit layer to turn the layer into a mat and can form a printed matter of superior metal gloss. SOLUTION: At least a release anchor layer, the metal deposit layer and a bonding layer are formed successively on one face of a film base, and the release anchor layer contains as a main component a resin of elasticity modulus of 106 Pa or more at 150 deg.C and the bonding layer contains as a main component a wax and/or a thermoplastic resin of the melting point or the softening point of 50-120 deg.C, by which the bonding layer is melted at the temperature in the range of not deforming the release anchor layer and can be transferred onto a body to be transferred, and the printed matter of superior metal gloss feeling can be obtained by the thermal transfer in which the thermal head or the like is used. |
