PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for drying a rope-like cloth in which the rope-like cloth can be dried as it is without being widened, its drying work can be simplified and its drying time can be shortened. SOLUTION: An air injection part 13 is connected to an inlet end of a transferring pipe 11 constituting a drying device and at the same time a blower 16 having a heater 15 is connected to this air injection part 13. Air taken into the blower 16 is heated by the heater 15 during its processing and the heated air is supplied into the air injection part 13 as hot air. The hot air supplied into the air injection part 13 is injected from an injection port 18 toward an outlet of the transferring pipe 11 to cause a cloth 12 to be transferred from the inlet end of the transferring pipe 11 to its outlet end and at the same time the cloth is dried.
