PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem that a matter to be baked or bread, cake or the like is deformed since heated air in a firing oven is circulated forcibly by convection by ventilating air into the firing furnace of an oven and another problem that a thermal efficiency is deteriorated and an excessive labor is necessitated for a manufacturing process since a plurality of stages of hearths are installed in the firing furnace. SOLUTION: In a firing furnace of a natural convection type oven, the upward heating unit and the downward heating unit of a planer heater, in which resistance heating bodies 12a, 12b are buried in infrared ray radiating bodies 13a, 13b, are mounted on the ceiling unit of a framework 15 and the inside surface of the furnace of the ceiling unit and bottom unit of the framework 15. The heating body units 11b, 11c of the planar heater, in which resistance heating bodies 12b, 12c are buried in infrared ray radiating bodies 13b, 13c, are the upward heating unit and the downward heating unit, which serve both for hearths, and firing chambers A, B, C are constituted of these heating body unit. In this case, the volume of these chambers is bigger in the upper position and smaller in the lower position to obtain the natural convection type oven.
