PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft member for office automation equipment which ensures coupling between an object function member mainly made from plastic such as polyacetal resin and a hollow shaft member, is easily manufactured, and is suitable for an earth environment protection by enabling reutilization as much as possible at the time of disposal. SOLUTION: This shaft member for office automation equipment is the hollow shaft member 1 made from metal fitted to the object member, and is constituted such that a recess groove 1a curved inside a tube member having a circular section is formed, a projection 2b fitted to the recess groove is formed on an inner wall of a holes 2 of the object member 2, a connection member 3 which sequentially fills spaces while adjoining the object member is fitted, a deformed E ring 4 formed with holding pieces 4a, 4a at its both right and left parts and formed with a leg 4b at its center is inserted and fixed to a blind hole 1b formed to the shaft member.
