PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a hot dip Zn-Al alloy plated steel sheet having fine, uniform spangles without deteriorating the workability of a plating film and the steel sheet in such a manner that plating is executed by ordinarily used equipment. SOLUTION: This hot dip Zn-Al alloy plated steel sheet having uniform, fine spangles is obtained by forming a Zn-Al hot dip galvanizing layer containing Al of 40 to 75% on the surface of a base metal steel sheet containing, by weight, C of 0.06% or less, Si of 0.10% or less, Mn of 0.50% or less, P of 0.030% or less, B of 0.0003 to 0.0050%, and the balance substantial Fe with inevitable impurities.
