PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing agent which can enhance the heat-insulating power of hot water, can give a moist bathing-finished touch, and simultaneously permits a person to enjoy such a slippery touch as obtained using the 'incrustations' of a hot spring as the touch of the hot water. SOLUTION: This bathing agent containing high mol.wt. polyethylene glycol having a weight-average mol.wt. of 2,000,000 to 5,000,000 in an amount of 0.1 to 98 wt.%. The bathing agent preferably further containing one or more kinds of compounds selected from glycerol, propyleneglycol and 1,3-butyleneglycol in an amount of 0.01 to 10 wt.% based on the high mol.wt. polyethyleneglycol as a dispersant. The bathing agent preferably further containing an inorganic salt, a perfume and a pigment.
