PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a langasite single crystal ingot excellent in the uniformity of the contents of constitutive components. SOLUTION: The contents, in weight ratio, of constitutive components of La2O3, Ga2O3 and SiO2 are each controlled to be in the range of -0.05 to +0.05 wt.% of a prescribed content at any measuring parts of a vertical cross section and a lateral cross section of a cylindrical part except the shoulder part of a langasite single crystal ingot obtained by pulling up and growing langasite expressed by compositional formula, La3Ga5SiO14.
