PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing tea capable of producing the tea excellent in luster and color and reshaping quality and rich in body and Umami. SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing the tea comprises a raw leaf cutting means for cutting tea raw leaves to a raw leaf group on the tip side and a raw leaf group on the rear end side, a separating means for separating the cut tea raw leaves into the raw leaf group on the tip side and the raw leaf group on the rear end side and a tea manufacturing means for manufacturing the tea from the raw leaf group on the tip side and the raw leaf group on the rear end side on the basis of respectively different set values for the raw leaf group on the tip side and the raw leaf group on the rear end side.
