PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armrest device for sitting type stool, which can easily be installed even in a narrow space, can surely support load from the upside and can be housed so as not to disturb a sitting person in the case of unuse. SOLUTION: Supporting legs 3 are installed on a floor 2 on both the sides of a stool 1, the upper terminal parts of both the supporting legs 3 are positioned below the top face of the toilet bowl 1, a pivotal support part 4 is provided on this upper terminal part, a lower terminal base part 6 of an armrest arm 5 is pivotally attached to the pivotal support part 4, the armrest arm 5 is supported to be freely turnable back and forth, both the supporting legs 3 are linked by constructing a bar 7 and the bar 7 is laterally constructed above the rear part of the stool 1.
