PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation stopping method for energy saving, resource saving and waste reducing, wherein wastes in a resin material or energy such as a conventional operation stopping method are eliminated, and black spots are prevented from occurring in a next molding operation. SOLUTION: For this extruder, in the internal diametrical section of a barrel, a screw is rotatably inserted, and the resin material is fed from a feeding port provided at the base section of the barrel. Then, the resin material is extruded to a head section attached to the tip end of the barrel while the resin material is heat-molten. At the same time, the extruder has a vent section to remove a volatile substance generated from the inside of the extruder during the heat melting. In the operation method of such an extruder, at the time of an operation stop of the extruder, an inert gas is filled in the feeding port and the vent section. At the same time, the head section and the inside of the screw are cooled for the operation method of the extruder. |
