METHOD FOR ESTIMATION AND OPTIMIZATION OF PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the estimation and optimization of a product produced by a plant to produce the product from charged raw materials. SOLUTION: The charged raw materials are classified by various physical properties and cost. Desired or ordered products are also classified by the price and the physical property requirement. The information on the charged raw materials and the information on the products are stored in a data base accessible by a computer. Plural production cycles are calculated by the computer and the cycle getting the highest profitability is selected to obtain the optimum production process. The computer is programmed by a non-linear equation derived from the regression analysis of data collected from the specimens of charged raw materials and products.
