PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rounding of a lens and a die by the stress of the die in lens forming using a UV resin and moreover to provide a die having durability. SOLUTION: In this planar die made in such a manner that a plating layer for cutting is formed on a roll having peelability, the plating layer for cutting is cut by a lathe, and, after that, the plating layer for cutting is peeled, after the plating layer for cutting is peeled from the roll, the cut face is subjected to surface treatment, and the non-cut face is backed with a plate having rigidity.
