PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an SrS series light emitting layer small in impurities and capable of conrolling the amount of the center of light emitting to be added at a practical level and to provide a producing device therefor. SOLUTION: In this method and device for producing a sulfide light emitting layer, the sulfide light emitting layer formed by an evaporating method at least has a strontium evaporation source and a zinc sulfide evaporation source to which the center of light emitting has been added, strontium and zinc sulfide raw materials are evaporated from these evaporation sources, and the respective raw material substances are bonded when being deposited on a substrate to obtain the sulfide light emitting layer.
