PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair rinse composition which has an excellent hair- conditioning effect, improves hair gloss, hair combability and hair smoothness, and has excellent effects for controlling hair voluminousness and making vicious hair inconspicuous. SOLUTION: This hair rinse composition contains (a) 0.5 to 15 wt.% of an aromatic alcohol, (b) 0.1 to 20 wt.% of a water-soluble polymer and (c) 0.5 to 2.5 wt.% of a nitrite. The hair rinse composition further contains (d) a cationized cellulose.
