PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper rubber reducing the number of part items and dispensing with assembling and fitting work processes at a low cost. SOLUTION: This bumper rubber 1 is an integrated molding of the simple substance of rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer, and it is fitted to the fitting face 13 of a cover body such as a trunk lid. A projection 3 is formed along the axis line in the in/out-direction at the center section of a bowl-shaped side wall section 2, and the upper end section 4 of its outside portion has a conical shape and is protruded abuttably on the fitting face 13 at the opening section peripheral edge of a trunk or the like. An insertion lower section 6 smaller in thickness than an insertion upper section 5 is integrally formed at the prescribed length at the lower section of the insertion upper section 5 at the inside portion of the projection 3, and a lock section 7 with an arrow head-shaped cross section is integrally formed at the lower end section of the insertion lower section 6. Three grooves 9, 10, 11 are formed on the side wall section 2, and a tapered face 12 is formed at the lower end section. Lugs 8 (ribs) are formed on the lower face of the insertion lower section 6.
