PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter to the external surface of which a hydrophilic polymer substance can be adhered well while the operability, such as the pushing-in property, torque transferability, followup property, kink resistance, etc., of the catheter is secured. SOLUTION: The main body 2 of the catheter 1 has a main section 22 and a front end section 23. The main section 22 is constituted in such a way that an intermediate layer 5 is formed on the outer periphery of an inner layer 4 and an outer layer 6 is formed on the outer periphery of the layer 5. The outer layer 6 has a first area 61 and a second area 62 positioned on the base- side end side of the area 61. The first area 61 is constituted of a polyester elastomer and the second area 62 is constituted of a polyurethane elastomer having higher hardness than the polyester elastomer has. |
