PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method by which an image is always recorded in an optimal condition regardless of the characteristics of a printer, when a basic color is represented using a plurality of identical color inks of varying densities as well as a recording medium recorded with an image recording/processing program. SOLUTION: With regard to two different kinds C and M of basic colors represented by two different kinds of identical color inks with varying densities such as light ink and normal ink among other four kinds C, M, Y, K of the basic color inks, first the gradation is corrected so that the input/output characteristics are linear and an optimal conversion table is selected in compliance with the characteristics of the printer selected by its user, from among a plurality of conversion tables previously created according to the characteristics of the printer. Further, the two different kinds C and M of the basic colors are converted to the color data of the light ink and the normal ink respectively in compliance with the selected optimal conversion table. |
