PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for continuous color ink-jet printing whereby a size of pixels on an image-receiving body is kept nearly constant, an image quality is improved to arrange a colored pattern of dots of various brightnesses on the image-receiving body and a printing head can be cleaned without wasting ink. SOLUTION: The continuous color ink-jet printing head 40 for this electronic printing apparatus is comprised of a printing head face 50 having thereinside nozzles 42, pressured ink sources 46 and 48 and a plurality of passages 61 and 62 respectively communicating with the nozzles. The passages are connected to the pressured ink sources through micro valves 52 and 56 respectively. Therefore, the ink from the pressured ink sources flow through the passages and then discharged out of the nozzles when the pressured ink sources reach a predetermined threshold pressure. |
