PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic premix which is useful as a raw material for acrylic artificial marble, has excellent moldability, and gives molded articles having low linear shrinkage rates, good dimensional stability and molding appearances not deteriorating gloss. SOLUTION: This acrylic premix comprising (A) an acrylic monomer or an acrylic syrup, (B) an inorganic filler, and (C) a fibrous reinforcing material comprising single fibers having an average fiber length of about <=1 mm and containing <=1. 5 mm stranded yarns in an amount of <=1 wt.%. The acrylic SMC or BMC prepared from the acrylic premix containing a thickener. The method for producing an acrylic artificial marble, characterized by heating, pressing and curing the SMC or BMC.
