PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control EGR amount at a suitable value regardless of DPF collecting amount. SOLUTION: The amount of intake air of a diesel engine 1 is detected by an air flow meter 25, and the opening of EGR valve 23 is feedback-controlled to make the actual mount of intake air be a reference intake air amount settled according to an engine operating condition, in a reference state wherein particulate is not collected in a particulate filter (DPF) 43. Under this condition, actual intake pipe pressure PM is detected by an intake air pressure sensor 59. Then, the particulate collecting amount of the DPF is calculated on the basis of the detected PM and intake pipe pressure (reference intake pipe pressure) when the amount of intake air is controlled to be the reference intake air amount in the reference state. The EDR valve opening is feedback-controlled to make engine intake air amount be a target intake air amount settled by correcting the reference intake air amount on the basis of the collecting amount. |
