PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for preventing a sudden start of a vehicle capable of preventing the sudden start and the maloperation of an accelerator pedal by installing two input brake switches in an engine control device for vehicle. SOLUTION: This control system is formed of a means for respectively comparing the inputted engine speed and the inputted car speed with a set value so as to compute each comparison value and for selecting the computing value or the comparison value on the basis of the parking signal or the neutral signal from a gear shift lever, a means for subtracting a former throttle position sensor value from the last throttle position sensor value and for comparing a value obtained by subtraction with a set value so as to compute the comparison value, a means for selecting the computing value or the comparison value, a means for computing the throttle position sensor comparison value, a means for computing the throttle position sensor value and the brake value, a means for delaying the time for inputting the throttle position sensor value and the brake value with the described means, and a control logic for forcibly preventing the sudden start and the maloperation of an acceleration pedal when the time is delayed more than the predetermined time set by the described means.
