<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form s skelp into an electric resistance welded tube having a circular cross section and, next, to reshape the tube into a square steel tube having high accuracy in the profile of corner parts. SOLUTION: A round steel tube profile measuring device is arranged on the downstream side of a sizing roll, a square steel tube profile measuring device is arranged in the middle of a reshaping roll group, a corner part shape measuring device for the square steel tubes is arranged on the outlet side of the reshaping roll group. Each roll on the upstream side of each measuring device is adjusted so that the tube shape dimension is within the allowable value which is set to the each measuring device.</p> |
