<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and economical decomposing method of polycarbonate(PC) for recycling PC-based waste having >250,000 ton domestic annual output. SOLUTION: This method for decomposing a bisphenol-based polycarbonate(PC) comprises producing a bisphenol-based compound which is one unit of PC or a hydroxyalkyl ether derivative of the above bisphenol-based compound which becomes a raw material of polyester, etc., or a cyclic dithiyl carbonate or a cyclic urea which becomes an industrial chemical raw material by reacting a bisphenol-based polycarbonate(PC) with (1) an aliphatic diol, a polyol or the corresponding epoxide and an alkylene carbonate or (2) an aliphatic dithiol, polythiol or hydroxythiol or (3) an aliphatic diamine, a polyamine, an aminoalcohol or an aminothiol.</p> |
