PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater and the operating method of the same, capable of supplying hot-water with a simple structure within a short period of time upon re-heating. SOLUTION: A heater 2 is provided in a tank 1 at the upper part of the same and the vicinity of the heater 2 in the tank 1 is connected to the bottom part in the tank 1 through a connecting pipe 3 provided with a pump 4 while hot-water in the tank 1 is circulated through the connecting pipe 3.
