PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-containing resin composition excellent in heat stability. SOLUTION: The heat stabilizer comprises as effective components (a) a dolomite-based compound (surface-treated with at least one selected among inorganic zinc compounds, organic acids, organic acid metal salts and polyhydric alcohol compounds), (b) a zinc salt of an organic acid and (c) a basic, nitrogen- containing compound compatible with a halogen-containing resin. The halogen- containing resin composition comprises the halogen-containing resin and the heat stabilizer incorporated thereinto.
