PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensuring a good sewing with a simple style even in the case of an extremely soft type of a sewn product. SOLUTION: A thread guide slit 5 is covered with an edge stepped portion 6 on the side of throat plate except a thread passing gap 7 opened toward a lower side of a stitch tongue piece 3, viewed from the needle introduction direction. Advantageously, the portion 6 forming a sewn product support portion 9 on the side of upper surface has a ride-on slant surface 11 at a connection area of the slit 5 to a needle introduction hole 2.
