PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that the attaching work is troublesome, as generally an article is firmly fixed onto a mounting face, there is a fear that damage and injuries influence an article and/or the fixing and mounting face, device cost and/or mounting cost require much, and disasters arise around us, as seen in conventional fall prevention devices for heavy materials. SOLUTION: The fall prevention device for heavy materials is installed on the floor face 101 of a structure 1 through a buffering part 7 and/or a gap H6. A coupling tool 2 is put between a fitting tool 5 provided in a heavy material W and the wall face 100 of a structure, and first and second gaps H4, H5 are formed between the coupling tool and the fitting tool and/or the wall face. The device prevents fall of the heavy material in a disaster, and absorbs vibration of the heavy material to protect the heavy material or protects valuables in the heavy material.
