PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control conveyance of conveyed paper sheets and to reduce load of a control system by noise. SOLUTION: This device removes noise based on length information of the paper sheets in a view from a detected signal from a sensor, and removes noise based on an appearing time of the detected signal from the sensor, namely a conveying pitch of the paper sheets. In other words, when noise occurs in the detected signal from the sensor disposed on a conveying passage for controlling the conveyance of the paper sheets, the noise is determined based on the length information of the detected signal from the sensor and the appearing time (conveying pitch), and the noise is automatically removed.
