<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the heat loss of a skid rail to support the carriage of a work in an induction heating apparatus to continuously heat the plate-like work. SOLUTION: In the induction heating apparatus in which a beat insulating material 16 is arranged inside a coil 12, a heating passage 17 is formed inside thereof, and the skid rail 13 to guide the work 10 along the heating passage 17 is arranged in a slightly projecting manner from the surface of the heat insulating material 16, a thickness of the slid rail 13 is set to be not more than the current penetration depth to be determined by the material of the skid rail 13 and the oscillation frequency of the current flowing in the coil 12, a thin-walled portion is provided on a part of the thickuers of a portion free from any possibility of being brought into contact with the work 10, and the thin-walled portion is projected inside the skid rail 13.</p> |
