PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear pillar reinforcing structure for an automobile stably fitting the hinge member of a tail gate and cutting off the noise generated from the road surface and transmitted through a rear pillar section without guiding it into a vehicle room during a travel by reinforcing the structural rigidity for a rear loop rail section. SOLUTION: This rear pillar reinforcing structure for the automobile has a reinforcing panel inserted into the space formed between an inside upper quarter panel and a side panel so that the tip portion on one side is connected to the tip portion of one side of the inside upper quarter panel and the tip portion on the other side is connected to the tip portion on one side of the side panel. The tip portion on the other side of the reinforcing panel is extended to the tip portion on the other side of the inside upper quarter panel, and the reinforcing panel and the inside upper quarter panel form a closed cross section.
