PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material feed mechanism in an image processing device that can prevent double feeding of sheet materials and eliminate occurrence of displacement or disturbance in the back and forth direction of the sheet materials. SOLUTION: The mechanism comprises a hopper 2b for loading piled paper P, a feed roller 3a for feeding one sheet of the upper most layer of the paper P to an image processing system, and a pair of guides 5 for guiding both ends together in the width direction of the paper P in the feed direction. A blowing fan 6 is built in the guide 5, air for separation is blown to a side surface in the width direction of the paper P piled on the hopper 2b, and adhesiveness between the paper P is lowered to prevent the double feeding.
