PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of bead portions by preventing separation of the outer turnup ends of a carcass ply and bead portion reinforcing layers from a rubber material and also preventing pulling of carcass ply cords, without an increase in tire weight, a drop in tire productivity and the like. SOLUTION: The carcass ply 4 extended toroidally from a tread portion 1 to a bead portion 3 via a sidewall portion 2 is turned back in an inner-to-outer direction along the tire radius around a bead core 5 positioned in the bead portion 3. A bead portion reinforcing layer 6 is arranged around the bead core 5 in an inner-to-outer direction along the tire width. A turnup portion 4a of the carcass ply 4 has a wrap portion that winds around the bead core 5 along the periphery thereof. The outer end, along the tire radius, of such a portion 6b of the bead portion reinforcing layer 6 as is located outwardly in a tire width direction is curved to the body portion of the carcass ply 4.
