PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint easily mountable on a pressure hose reinforced with a woven clothlike reinforcing layer and never causing the leak from the mounting part, and a mounting method therefor. SOLUTION: This joint comprises a joint body 5 having a nipple part 7, a male screw 8, a hose nut 6 having a female screw 10, and an elastic cylindrical sleeve 12. The sleeve 12 comprises one or a plurality of slits 14 opened to one end 12a and axially extended therefrom to the middle and one slit 13 for dividing the cylinder. The sleeve is put on the hose while overlapping the slitless other end 12b to the hose end part, the hose nut 5 is put thereon from above, and the female screw 10 is connected to the male screw 8, whereby the sleeve 12 is radially pressed and contracted.
