<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire that simultaneously ensures fundamentally improved steering stability performance, ride comfort performance and road noise performance while maintaining conventional light weight and excellent rolling resistance performance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire comprises a radial carcass with turnup portions, bead filler rubber with a triangular section, and at least one reinforcing cord layer in a side region spreading from a bead portion to a sidewall portion. The reinforcing cord layer comprises a spiraled cord layer of at least one rubberized cord about the tire axis. The spiraled cord layer has an inner end, along the tire radius, situated between a position radially outward of the periphery of a bead core and a position radially inward of a taper leading end of the bead filler rubber.</p> |
