PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a residue on the end surface of a squeegee in consideration that the screen plate back residue is deposited, during previous printing, on the end surface of the squeegee which contacts the screen plate in the squeegee advance direction during printing in a screen printing container and a square contact surface type printing squeegee and to materialize fine printing and continuous printing associated with the fine printing by removing the residue before the sliding of the squeegee end part on a printing surface in consideration that the residue deposited on the screen plate is introduced from the squeegee end surface into the opening part of the screen plate to cause the trouble of the printing surface. SOLUTION: In order to accomplish the above purpose, the residue on the end surface of the squeegee to be used chiefly in a screen printing machine and the contact surface between the squeegee end surface and the screen surface is scraped off, wiped off, and suction-removed by a scraping/removing part.
