PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of using both gasoline and diesel oil used as a diesel engine efficient in fuel consumption for traveling in an area without houses and switched to a gasoline engine advanced in noise and exhaust gas countermeasures when entering a city with many houses. SOLUTION: To use this engine as a gasoline engine, gasoline is injected from an injector and ignited by a spark plug for using it as a gasoline engine. To use this engine as a diesel engine, a compression ratio is raised to a suitable pressure and diesel oil is injected to an injector for using it as a diesel engine. |
