PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain particles for concentrating viruses capable of simply treating a large number of samples at the same time by a simple means without giving bad influences to a nucleic acid-amplification inspection and provide a method for concentrating the viruses and a method for detecting the viruses. SOLUTION: The particles for concentrating viruses have 0.11,000μm particle size and water insoluble sulfated polysaccharides on the particle surface. The methods for concentrating viruses and detecting the viruses use the particles.
