PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for controlling the flow rate of engine cooling fluid for an engine. SOLUTION: This control system comprises a first sensor, arranged so as to detect the temperature of first fluid in an engine, a second sensor arranged so as to detect the temperature of second fluid in the engine, and an electronic controller connected to the first and the second sensor for receiving from these sensors a signal indicating the respective temperatures of the first and the second fluid, the controller can be operated so as to determine a suitable pump speed relating to each fluid, based on the respective temperatures of the first and the second fluid, then a signal indicating the highest pump speed represented by the signal received from the first and the second sensor is output to an engine cooling fluid pump motor for controlling its speed.
