PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating type road roller which can accurately evaluate the compaction degree of asphalt painting. SOLUTION: In addition to a first oscillating roller drum 1 having a first compaction monitor device 5, the oscillating type road roller includes a second oscillating roller drum 3 having a second compaction monitor device 6. The second oscillating roller drum 3 is interlocked to the first oscillating roller drum 1 so as to substantially trace the locus of the first oscillating roller drum 1. The oscillating type road roller further has an evaluating unit 9 provided therefor, for comparing measurement results of the first and second compaction monitor devices 5, 6 with each other.
