PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a steel cord capable of guaranteeing adhesiveness to rubber even for a long period of time or under a high frequency use by providing the steel cord with a plus plating layer corresponding to an environment used in a tire packed with an inert gas under a high pressure. SOLUTION: In this steel cord obtained by twisting a plurality of filaments subjected to a brass plating and used in an inert gas packed tire, the average thickness of the brass plating of the filaments is in the range of 130-180 nm.
