<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a pneumatic tire at its bead portions. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire comprises at least one carcass ply formed of steel cords, toroidally extended from a tread portion through sidewall portions to bead portions and turned around bead cores embedded in the bead portions and rubber stiffeners adjacent thereto from the inner periphery side to the outer periphery side in a tire radial direction, the carcass ply having turn-around portions provided with wind-up portions wound thereon along the outer periphery of the bead cores, wherein recessed portions are provided near bead heels having contact with a rim flange in rimming.</p> |
