摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear mechanism for a power transmission system capable of suitably inhibiting the occurrence of a resonance phenomenon resulting from vibration components even when rotating force with a low frequency component and a high frequency component mixed as the vibration components is input, without damaging or deteriorating a damping mechanism. SOLUTION: The gear mechanism comprises a crank gear 21 drive connected to a crankshaft 20 and a first driven gear 31 connected to the first balancing shaft 30 via a damping mechanism 50 allowing the relative rotation. The damping mechanism 50 has a friction damper for generating frictional force to damp the relative rotation of the first driven gear 31 and a counter gear 32 fixed to the first balancing shaft 30, when relatively rotated in a preset range of a rotational phase, and a stopper rubber elastically deformed only when the first driven gear 31 and the first balancing shaft 30 are relatively rotated over the preset range of the rotational phase, for counter energization of the relative rotation with its elastic force.
